The Hospice Guild

The Hospice Guild was formed as a membership-based organization with a mission to build and support community awareness and commitment to the ongoing mission of Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg.

The Guild accomplishes its work through the following four established committees / interest groups:

Staff Support
Hospitality
Gardens and Green Grounds
Community Outreach

The Hospice Guild Council provides leadership for the Guild and is made up of the president of the Guild, the chairs of each of the four committees, at least three at-large members and a staff/board liason.  In 2010/2011, the Hospice Guild Council will meet every other month at Hospice House.

Meetings of the full Guild take place in the fall and in the spring every year. 

Guild members are an invaluable part of the program at Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg.  Last year, volunteers made contributions of time worth over $295,000.  In addition, many volunteers also contribute annually donations of $25.00 or more to offset the costs involved in the operation of the Hospice Guild and support the projects of the Guild which enhance the quality of care at Hospice House.
